Sick and tired of the overheated old Compaq monitor, I recently bought a new LCD monitor from Samsung. This beautiful device from Samsung has the model name of SyncMaster 932NW. The main concern for buying a LCD monitor was our country’s huge load-shedding plans. I was trying to save electricity as with this LCD monitor in a normal operation it would consume less than 42W and with the power saver mode it would consume less than 1W. I have a 5 hour backup battery (12V) and a 700VA UPS by Digitech so I would need to save as much power as I could. Another reason would be to have an awesome display when I play a graphics oriented games. I only have 128MB external NVIDIA graphics card but with the old small 14″ monitor I was losing the taste of the real deal.
Now my latest 19″ Wide Screen 300cd/m² Brightness 2000:1 Contrast Ratio5ms Response Time has given me all the comfort and I don’t actually regret for not buying a laptop instead of the expensive UPS system and this monitor.
