I have a lot of CDs and DVDs where I back up my work often. I also have two extra hard drives as well. My work often has been disrupted and damaged in my CDs. So I don’t trust backing up my work on any CDs or DVDs. So I have an extra hard drive in hand but it is really annoying to carry the hard drive everywhere I go. I was just thinking of having it backed up online so that I can access it wherever I am around the globe. Of course internet connection is a must in this case but the technology has so much advanced that there is internet in almost any area around developed parts of the world.

So my search today led me to IBackup.com which is the perfect site that offers Online Storage and Backup. I had visited this website couple of months ago but there were not enough functions and features. Well they surely have upgraded and updated their features this time. They have added a boost up with their IBackup’s online storage features where users online data appears as a mapped drive or a folder on their computer, sub-accounts for collaborative sharing, and more. They have added their desktop applications where you can easily drag-n-drop items you want to backup and they have a familiar explorer interface to work with online data. The application also utilizes advanced compression and delta-transfer technologies. This could give significant productivity gains and higher ROI for small businesses as well. Their other recent update is enhancement with which you can now IBackup for Mac. So this proves that IBackup is the best option available for online storage and online backup.

There are a multitude of different online backup options out there.
I researched this for work and narrowed it down to three contenders.
backupanytime.com
carbonite.com
databarracks.co.uk
Be careful of free options. I used one before selecting one of the above. I wont say the name of the initial free one and it is not mentioned here as it refused a restore unless I got a paid account (which was priced higher than the comercial options) but I was only testing so I said no thanks.
