I have some days when I get bored and I sometimes end up playing with my desktop folder icons and mostly desktop backgrounds and screensavers. Today I just found out that there are people who play and spend more time than me with their desktop folders icons. Just take a look at this picture below and you will know what I am talking about:

Yes, you are looking at a famous Spider-Pig and Simpson art. I know your thought that one of the great artist must have made it, but when I read about how the original artist did it, I am now confirmed that even I can make such art and so does anyone.
With some cool tips I found at gizmodo, almost everyone can make an art out of their desktop folder icons and have fun playing with them. I still am thinking the person who did this in the beginning must have a lot of patience and surely a lot of time to spend over these folder icons. lol!
Here are the steps on how you can make your own Amazing Desktop Folder Icon Art. Follow the instructions and have fun!
- Clean up your desktop.
- Get an empty folder (or a set of folders in different colors,) document icons, or whatever other thing is around your desktop. Don’t get big documents, as you will need to duplicate them to create your image.
- Third, deactivate automatic snap-to-grid in the view desktop options in Windows or Mac OS X.
- Optionally, load an image in the background to “trace.”
- Start placing your folders/icons/whatever, always on a row and rendering the subject matter from top to bottom to ensure that no text from the icons on the top rows overlaps the icons on the bottom rows.
