There is a big problem with virus infection (mainly malwares) around our place. Mostly it occurs while plugging in devices to our PC such as USB flash drives, iPods, CDs, DVDs, floppy disks, and other plugging devices. The most common of all is USB flash drives. It is so hard to trust anyone’s flash drives as its plug and auto-run feature would install most of the malwares and virus while we plug in the device.

Well that was in the past. Now LG seems to have figured out this problem and brought two new USB flash drives to the market and one of the flash drives seem to have plug and auto-run protection. The LG Vaccine seeks to stop the malicious attacks before plug and auto-run action. This device comes with two-year license and they will release pricing for license renewal after that.

The other cool USB drives introduced by LG is biometric USB drive. This device is especially designed to reduce the risk associated with data loss/theft. It features a built in fingerprint scanner which stores up to 10 fingerprints for authentication. This will help you in case you want to share your drive with someone else or manage to misplace one of your fingers. It can also utilize a password. I don’t see the much use of this device but if you want to save your top secret database in a USB flash drive, this will be something you will be chasing after.
