There is a huge 12-hour load shedding per day going on in our country. Power outage has been a headache and a daily torture. It is strange that in this 21st century as well a lot of countries have load shedding going on. Even India, has an unscheduled load shedding in some parts of the country, including the capital. Well the main issue and reason for this post today is turning on and off of your personal computer.
With all the power outage, it is pretty much of a headache to turn on the PC manually after every power on. So I thought there must be a solution for this problem. I asked one of my friends, and he gave me the perfect solution from which my PC would turn on automatically. It is related to the bios setting.
Below is the process from which your PC will run automatically when you give power to your PC. (The process may very in other version of BIOS SETUP UTILITY.)
- Start or restart your PC if it is on.
- Hit Delete button to go through the BIOS setup panel.
- Navigate to Power tab as shown in the picture below.
- Notice that the option “After Power Failure” has a default value of “Stay Off”. Now change it to “Power On”.
- Now “Exit” and save changes before you exit the BIOS setup.
Well that’s about it. Now whenever the power is on, your computer will start automatically and you won’t have to press the power on button manually anymore. Enjoy!!!
